Just search for this in td_block.php: "td_util::update_option('td_cake_status', '');" and replace with this "td_util::update_option('td_cake_status', '2');".

It is the same thing added to Newsmag theme, just in different file. Should do the same thing as Newsmag, but it is in td_block.php in Newspaper. I search in td_block.php, and it was commented out by the author.
