HaHaHaHa!
There’s no need to get down on Baby Man, guys!
I suspected but wasn’t sure until his latest post. Buaa ... (I don't know Baby Man's forum ID and don't need to know it) is just a child using mom or dad's PC!
One of the things I have to do as a copywriter is to determine audience age. Oh, my process doesn’t use a chronological measurement of age – it’s the emotional quotient or the number attached to level of understanding language and simple concepts. Only rookie copywriters look at demographic age brackets to determine writing style and angle of attack.
In other words, I determine what level of language and grammar I need to write at to engage my targeted audience and reader.
Baby Man has given away far too many clues. His overuse of teenage-specific acronyms is, for example, one dead giveaway. His inability to get online any other time but during daytime hours and not on weekends is another (minor) tell.
But another major stumble is what professional negotiators and copywriters call “irrelevance fixation.” This is when you cannot make a clear or logical argument when faced with a preponderance of evidence.
Here is Baby Man in a sentence:
Baby Man will stay awake all night and stand outdoors - at attention - because it is dark and he does not believe the Sun will rise the next morning.
So, in his case, you cannot make a reasonable argument, so you use a triviality - and then make it the elephant in the discussion.
In his case, he has never stopped talking about the watch in video #9. A minor transaction hardly worth noting, and one that I have done hundreds of times with many items.
Only he has never made any other point – he has no other argument or red herring to toss, but this one. After 2.5 hours of video and thousands of words in posts here, even the least skilled reader among you could make dozens of better arguments about what won’t work, but he can't.
So this is it – this is all he has – the best he has – to continue baseless arguments on one minor point of “fixation.”
This is more than emotionally revealing – it shows his complete lack of ability to make reasonable or logical arguments, which as we all know come with maturity and life experience.
But after reading his ramblings, how he phrases his comments is a total revealing of his age – maybe not chronologically, but emotionally. I have him locked-in like a sniper has his rifle zeroed-in now.
At best, he is in his mid- to late twenties, but highly immature for his age. He also makes very little or no money and probably spends too much time masturbating, and not enough doing anything that matters. He is not very educated or bright, and has well below average social skills.
What is also troubling about this child is his other fixation – the homosexual one.
He clearly wants someone to poke him in the a.ss. I picked-up on this in one of his earlier comments, and I am certain about it now.
So, sorry dude, I love women too much to give you the shot in the butt you crave. But hey – if you like guys, no problemo!
Go get yourself some d.ick somewhere – I am sure you know where you can get it already.
So, he is like a weed in a garden. He will continue to reappear as long as the adults are paying attention to him – even if you cut him off at the roots.
Now that I know what and who he is, I will no longer waste any time or give him the attention he so desperately craves. He can come rant as often and as much as he wants now. His posting is all about attention with him. As long as he thinks he is getting to some of you, he will persist.
Anyway, on to the stuff that concerns adults and marketing on Ebay …
I have a pretty decent download for you to read. It is Ebay-specific, but not arbitrage-related.
It is the Independent Guide to Ebay Magbook 2014, which I read over the weekend.
It’s not a bad read and it is a slick UK e-publication that is longer than most ebooks at 146-pages, but has some good info – especially for people new to selling on the site.
It does also have a few tidbits for the intermediate to advanced users too, so it is not completely newbie-driven.
Here is the link:
Don't freak out when you download the file!
I converted this file from a pdf to flash – the pdf version of this really sucked and was super-hard to read. So when you download the file, you will see an index html file. This opens it as a flip book in your browser. It is also over 120 MB, so you know it is a heavily formatted e-mag with lots of pics to go with the text.
It is nothing insidious and if this feature worries you, don’t bother downloading it. It is just too hard to read in the native pdf format, so all I did was make it easier for you.
I liked it – it wasn’t great, but better than the majority of ebooks about Ebay I’ve read lately. Let me know what you think.
Enjoy! Your reps are your thanks and appreciation for the downloads and information.
Rock and Roll!
Quasar – Out for now!
