Like I said, we don't know if using a tool like udemy-dl will get our account banned or not, because we don't know how their monitoring system is working.

I use udemy-dl ALL of the time (I don't have the patience to sit and watch any udemy course on their platform. I prefer watching on VLC).
Most of the courses I subscribe to are only a couple hours long, but I have downloaded a few 10 hours+ courses (usually in about an hour with udemy-dl) and my account is still active. In fact, I usually bulk download using udemy-dl and a batch file, so from my point of view, doesn't look like udemy-dl is the problem here. However, I am not "attached" to my udemy account either.

I think so, i didn't have any issues with one account for paid and another one for free courses.

Hey guys, I have an update. My account got reactivated! I followed the advice of some of you and opened a new support ticket (instead of replying to those older emails) asking to bring me back on board and saying that I didn't violate anything. And it looks like this time I got on another member of their support who happened to be a lot more helpful than the first one. Not only they restored my account and gave me $20 in credits but also actually explained what happened. Thank you for very much to everyone in this thread who were trying to be helpful and of course also to those who share coupons.
Here's the email:
------------------------------------------------------------------
We are writing to inform you that your Udemy account has been reactivated.
Udemy is committed to creating an environment that gives subject matter experts a platform to share their expertise. For some of our instructors, teaching courses on Udemy is their livelihood and we take the necessary steps to protect their content under our terms of service.
As a part of our ongoing efforts to keep Udemy the best place to learn and teach, we identified user accounts in potential violation of our policy of using pirated torrent content or fraudulent free coupons on our site. Earlier this week, we deactivated a number of user accounts associated with these sites. Unfortunately, we inadvertently deactivated some user accounts in error in this process. We apologize for disrupting your access to your courses, and would like to offer you $20 in Udemy credit toward your next course purchase.
We appreciate your understanding.
------------------------------------------------------------------
One note: after receiving the email I still couldn't login with my ID and managed to get in only after resetting the password.

LOL after ban a couple of days ago I've just reset my password and get access to my account again! ))

Well, I did try resetting my password when I couldn't login in the beginning, and received no emails about that.

My guess is nearly all CORRECT
"we identified user accounts in potential violation of our policy of using pirated torrent content or fraudulent free coupons on our site.."
BUT Udemy still did not explain clearly what their meanings of "using pirated torrent content or fraudulent free coupons"

Me too. But now it works. I think it was a kind of warning from Udemy
