Dear Azazel i must be curious about the usuage of your account , maybe you have shared your account with your friends ? and there will be multi login issue at the same time , I hope this would be the reason of violation . Not so sure

Once again, I didn't do anything like that, I would just say so if I did.
Even if something like it happened without my knowledge (e.g. my account got hacked and accessed by some third party, which is very unlikely), why the support didn't just say so and instead pointed at free coupon usage? It doesn't make sense.
It's better if we buy at least few courses when there is a promotions. Otherwise udemy team might guess we are abusing their system.
Azazel,
Quite a few have been able to get their account back (or had to create new one) to get courses in earlier account back.
https://www.reddit.com/r/Udemy/comments/803436/how_i_got_my_udemy_account_back/
The key is to persist - keep sending mails every 1-2 days requesting them to reconsider (be polite in every mail) until they give it back - seems to have worked for many.
Since most of the popular udemy courses end up on torrent sites, i assume they started embedding user specific information in the videos to identify users downloading and sharing.
i guess i better start ripping the videos of all my courses. lol
OMG!
Should I be worried? I joined BBH for the sole purpose of getting Udemy coupons and so far, I have close to 500 courses under my belt. Of course, I have purchased few courses but the number is far more when it comes to enrolling courses with 100% free coupons.
I guess my question for anyone will be how to prevent my account from getting banned/deactivated?
The million dollar q is how to prevent termination/banning and how to re-activate it?
I'm sure that there would have been at least a 1000 users from this forum alone with 1000 to 5000 "free-coupon-powered" courses under their belt.
The best course of action seems to buy at least a single course so that UDemy would be prevented from locking us out.
I have 60+ "free-coupon-powered-courses" from here (Special thanks to all of the besties in here!)/. I am not gonna buy a course (I can't afford it right now.) But I might, in the near future.
Here's to all of our accounts staying safe and accessible for all eternity. (And guys, FFS, please do leave some positive reviews if you take a course. At least you can defend yourself against Udemy saying you gave positive reviews and helpeed course authors and udemy in their businesses.
just my 5 cents.
Try to be a real person in Udemy. Write some reviews, ask questions to the teacher, watch the courses and e.t.s
Of course it is at least strange if someone have 100-500-1000 courses and get no review, not even watch some course and e.t.s
P.S. Who knows may be I am will be the next in a banned accounts line.
and now for my 3.5 pennies worth...
STOP WORRYING!!
If you enrolled on a course in 2015 and haven't gotten round to watching it by 2018, chances are you never will!! And again, if you've got a collection of a 100+ course you will never get round to watching them all anyway.
If you still have access to you're account, and there are any courses you REALLY want to keep, use a tool like udemy-dl (on github) to download a local copy. If you have lost your account and really want a course from 2015 then ask on here and I am sure someone will "gift it to you" (which is a feature on the Udemy dashboard).
