I feel you my friend, all im seems just targeting developed countries and the other 6 billions are most of the time ignored.
It happened to me that i bought a product than ask refunds simply because the guy completely forgot to mention that it need some us id or ss number etc.

drop shopify and go woocommerce, or use paypal, like anybody else.
Even thought you may be in a country where paypal is restricted, just create a genuine one and validate it with payoneer, now for getting the money to your bank account, it's another story, but im pretty sure there are legal ways out there.
Ps: i read somewhere paypal don't wire money to payoneer card anymore, didn't check that info, still, ask local banks, see what you can do.
You may not be rich to get a visa card where you live, just ask money to someone, wire, get the card then give back the money.
that's just to say, there are ways my friends, just keep positive.
NOW FOR THE UPSELL AND DOWNSELL THINGY, THOSE WHO WONDER HOW TO DO IT:
Using woocommerce and wp, there is a way to get upsell and downsell and whatever, no need to spend a lot or go to complicated steps, remember kiss the shiiiit out of it, keep it simple stupid, test, see what's work and with time, make your shop better and better.

Well well well, for me that's the realest passive income you can have, selling ebooks, courses and videos, no warranty shiiiit, not happy, just refund the guy and you got nothing to loose as you worked once.
Yes you can upsell, downsell digtal stuff, you need any there to build your funnel (optmizepress, or any other, even a wp theme with a builder can do, just copy the famous sales, lead, upsell pages, not the text lol)
MY BEST ADVICE FOR THAT
is to go with ryan deiss, the funnel blueprint 2.0 (thats the version i got) and seriously guys, he even give full funnels ready to use (in optimizepress templates) but you can follow his links/ website and do the same wth a simple wp theme and a builder.
Another source for amazng pages for funnels is leadpages blog, see them case studes, some people explain what they did from A to Z
with deiss and leadpages blogs, you do not need to download or read any other product about sales funnels, point straight, no more i'm saying.
