O.k. time to throw my 2 cents in.
I'm on this sub forum every day of the week. usually more than once. (not as a collector, like some are). so I think my input should have merit or at least substance.
first off, yes ripping is a bad idea, morally speaking. but scan the threads, guys! NOBODY RIPS! ok, yesterday, one guy did but that is one outta HOW MANY?!
rampant ripping IS NOT an issue on BBHF/udemy section.
second, the is no worry about instructors griping (gasp!). not ONLY are the coupons public (in a sense), but I have seen regular coupon sites and other non BH sites where they also have sections specific for udemy. AND from what I've seen, a very high % of coupon codes are from REDDIT, which gee, isn't that a major public social sharing site? so outside of ripping, which is VERY VERY infrequent, we are norm.
by the standards your using, we should also stamp out all the torrent sites too. because there's a helluva lot more ripping going on there, my friends...
as was mentioned, the instructors would be wise to add the extra perks udemy offers to put in the courses, which would make ripping substandard in comparison to the actual course. (plus those who got aripped copy, would be compelled to GET the course if they liked it well enough).
5. AND THIS, IMO, IS A POSSIBLE REAL ISSUE-
I think the reason we got on instructors radar and collar is because somehow our udemy subsite has gotten a bit viral. something has drawn the public's attention. if you scan the posts here, you see there are a strong flock of newbees since october. and they only frequent the udemy section. Where are they all coming from? I got nothing against newbees except when you open a door that wide, you end up getting quite a few idiots in the mix too. I'll refrain from explaining why some are idiots. Let's just say, they're not family.
to me, I think that's a hole we need to patch(#5), otherwise it's just gonna get worse.
[/quote]Don't be rude to us,yes we're newbie but we are not idiot, it seems you're blaming us for what happen in this section, all of us started as a newbie, and we are very thankful because there's a forum like this that would help us to learn something new, that would make us more better in the career that we have chosen. This is only my opinion. Please don't be mad at me.
