Hey Guys, is there a way to update from the 8.1.2 version that was shared here <and been working fine>, to the 8.4.3 new release Without having to uninstall everything again and repeating the whole process all over?

Updated to v8.5.1 and everytime I started the program it will tell can't validate software key. Need to disconnect the internet first and key in the serial to make use of the program again. Did not encounter this type of problem before v8.5.1. Pls advise. Thx.

Just updated to 8.5.1 using instructions in Post: #50 without a hitch!

Assuming you already have Camtasia Studio 8.4.1 or 8.4.2 installed:

1) Go to your hosts file and add a # to the beginning of each techsmith entry like
# added below to block camtasia 841 - 842 -843
#127.0.0.1 65.52.240.48
#127.0.0.1 69.167.144.18
#127.0.0.1 oscount.techsmith.com
#127.0.0.1 activation.cloud.techsmith.com

2) Download trial from:

Magic Button :

http://download.techsmith.com/camtasiast...mtasia.exe

3) Reset/restore hosts file as
# added below to block camtasia 841 - 842 -843
127.0.0.1 65.52.240.48
127.0.0.1 69.167.144.18
127.0.0.1 oscount.techsmith.com
127.0.0.1 activation.cloud.techsmith.com

4) Install trial 8.4.3.1793

So I download the version from the OP then put hosts file code, then download the trial?
