Instructors are limited to the creation of 3 coupons per course each month.

The best coupon will only last for 3 days, so if you want a course you need to be faster now. If it's not unlimited for 3 days, then it's limited to the first 10 unique students who enroll. Anything beyond those two options means you'll have to pay for the course.

There's 4 types of coupons on Udemy:

1. Free: 3-Day Unlimited:

Creates a limited-time offer that allows any number of students to enroll in your course for free.

Expires 3 days after creation.

2. Free: 30 Day Limited:

Creates a longer-lasting offer that allows 10 unique students to enroll in your course for free.

Expires after 10 redemptions or 31 days, whichever comes first.

3. Current best price:

Creates a limited-time offer for the current best price of your course.

For instructors in Udemy’s Deals Program, this is based on the lowest price Udemy would offer a given student in that market for your course at the time you create the coupon.

The price displayed in the coupon creation flow represents the coupon’s value in the main market for that currency; in other currencies and markets, it will be adjusted to match your course’s local best price.

Expires 5 days after creation.

4. Custom price:

Creates a longer-lasting offer for a price you pick from the range displayed.

For instructors in Udemy’s Deals Program, the lower bound of this range will be similar to (but not necessarily lower than) the price Udemy would offer a given student at the time you create the coupon.

Expires 31 days after creation.

- 100% OFF coupons for UNLIMITED students that will expire 3 days after creation.
- 100% OFF coupons for 10 UNIQUE students that will expire in 30 days or after 10 redemptions; whichever comes first.

And more important:
- Once a coupon has been created, it cannot be edited or deleted. If you would like to deactivate a coupon, however, it can be turned off.

Yes, this will limit the students to get a coupon, but this will could not be so difficult if we come here at BBHF and check the coupons daily, and if we collaborate to improve BBHF if we "stop unnecessary thread bumping even more" as 饿死我了 proposes ;)

2)
Yes, this will limit the authors, but the authors can create a 100% unlimited coupon per month and deactivate/activate when necessary, and 2 limited coupons for 10 students each: and give that very limited coupons here at BBHF to committed students to take the course or write sincere/constructive reviews.

3)
Nevertheless, even the limit of 3 coupons could be beneficial to the community of authors, because this will not allow the abuse of some authors that were creating a crazy number of unnecessary coupons to saturate the coupon-sites and that brings a lot of hard work to the sharers.


QUESTION:
Anyone knows if there is any limit when changing the price of courses to free for a limited time (F4LT/FFLT) and again with a price?

This complicates things a bit. I am predicting that Udemy is going to restrict its own growth and slowly become stagnant... save for the 1% who are already well-known on its platform.

I have a feeling most of the instructors will pick this option:

In this case we need to stop unnecessary thread bumping even more. If only 3 coupons can be made per month, the begging has even less use and makes us seeing which coupons are active are even more important.
