1. Do you have a limitation in terms of CPU usage?
2. Do you have a limitation on WordPress plugins?
3. Do you allow for auto blogging?
4. Do you inform the customer before suspending an account?
Thank you
1. Do you have a limitation in terms of CPU usage? 25% within 90 seconds, the same with other resources.
2. Do you have a limitation on WordPress plugins? Not really as long as you are not over the resource acceptable usage policy.
3. Do you allow for auto blogging? yes, we do - it all just matters about the resource usage limit... just try to make long intervals between auto posting
4. Do you inform the customer before suspending an account? we dont instantly suspend accounts as long as it is not those serious legality stuffs... we inform you about the problem first, hope to resolve the issue...
Here's our AUP for more info https://www.ryehost.net/aup/ :)
Some good answers you there. Especially the no.4. You are nice to give a chance for a customer to solve the problem before suspending an account. At least with this, a customer can have a little time for doing a backup. I understand certain hosting owners do take care of the server performance but should put the customer position in the first place.
You should be doing great with your hosting.
Good lucks to your sales.
Thank you very much for those kind words!

(10-04-2018 05:22 PM)smithnowt Wrote: [ -> ]There's always a good use for whois when it comes to hosting offers - especially when such offers do not also offer reseller or master reseller hosting.
In this case the hosting runs on Liquidweb and the biggest question which that likely answers is this one:
Who owns the servers this hosting runs on ??
Any offer that is not reseller hosting is a single hosting account no matter how many times the word 'unlimited' may be used.
Anyone wanting hosting for multiple domains with each having their separate account would need to purchase hosting that includes WHM access - or, an account like this offer for each domain.
Otherwise each domain is inside the same account as an addon domain - not optimal.
Good reseller hosting can also be had (depending upon how much is needed) for around the same pricing as most low to middle priced single domain hosting.
I can understand and agree to your points.
However, offering to reseller/master reseller or Alpha reseller do need a good server and stable with a very small issue. And also must cover support with fast respond in ticketing and 24 chat online.
Sharing small info here.
As a client, you can get support directly from the hosting owner.
As a reseller, you can also get support directly from the hosting owner.
As a master reseller, you have to wait for the support from the hosting owner before attending the reseller ticket.
As an Alpha reseller, you have to wait for the support from the hosting owner before attending the master reseller ticket.
As we can see from other BSO, they are hosting owners have an uncounted ticket to reply, a lot of issues, slow in ticket reply, an unskillful solving problem(example - simply ban an account for the unambiguous reason or poor in handling support without giving a good reason which not help the reseller/master/Alpha reseller. And the best is :) they still offering master/alpha reseller, I do not know what makes them so confident, at the end brings disaster to reseller's business.
Anyway, it is good for a new hosting owner to give a hosting serving directly at the very beginning before expanding in the coming future like this BSO.
Cheers!
Thanks for joining this conversation Henry8693.
My own main concern with any hosting offer is always:
Who owns your servers ??
If the one offering hosting does NOT own their servers that opens too many possibilities for poor results.
2nd to the above is the misleading ways that 'unlimited' is used to describe simple, single hosting accounts.
Sure - they may allow 'unlimited' space and BW uses - but it remains a single domain account.
Most folks doing IM/MMO have many domains.
Things become hopelessly complicated when using a single domain account to host multiple, active sites as addon domains.
Very few newbies to hosting services know of these important things to look for and ask.
I don't think it is a wise strategy to tell who is the server's owner.
Sometimes, resellers do need info to be confidential.
If you're a reseller, you need to know who is the server's owner. But even resellers with the big hosting company, they usually won't tell you either.
I think this BSO hosting is not meant for reseller but to normal website/blogging platform would be good to go with.
"unlimited" is just a trend for doing business but the thread owner used "unmetered".
Cheers!
