I'm sure that you might get a lot of traffic with some posts, but can it be done every day? I don't know. It depends on your videos.
If you'll post videos too often with direct YouTube links then your channel might get banned from Reddit un some subreddits.
If you use my method, you may circumvent it, but I'm not sure how good that is for videos since I've never tried it this way.

For getting the traffic do we have to use twitter as well or reddit is enough?

It was never shut down. People are still making money if you're referring to W_Walter's thread how he made $700 a day with the method.
People are just saying that you should look for new affiliate programs/offers not to have such a competition.
