No, Twitter isn't the problem. Problem is Reddit which is very anti-spam. It's all explained in the guide.

These are old news. They can't do shit about it, because Reddit hasn't banned Twitter and they'll never will, because celebrities like Trump use Twitter and their tweets get submitted all the time on Reddit.
