Sorry - my bad - thought the below reply was also in this thread, but it weren't:

My OS is...dated...so some Java apps run and some don't.
Jdownloader made for a real puzzle though - it was very odd.
Tried it several times and ways without success.
Either it didn't open, did something that brought the OS down with a BSOD, or crashed it hard enough to bring a full reboot instantly.
Looked through their site, KB, wiki and forum...no clues - so I gave up on it.
No biggie for me as IDM does most anything that I really need anyhow.

Adding to the above - I actually use several OSes and have many browsers;
It may be that using the mega app via an Android device would work,but truthfully the idea of getting/transferring multi-GB stuff from a phone to a PC is just more trouble than the stuff sitting in mega is worth to me !!

Cute. Funny.

Not very accurate.
Many folks have posted here on the forum that they also have loads of trouble with what I prefer to call 'megasuck'.
(And...I suspect that it is only used by folks residing on this planet !!)

I was referring to jdownloader2 not mega. (OP corrected)

Thanks for that clarification Ratzazz.
Given that ~95% of the file hosting sites work flawlessly here, with most being also fine with IDM - and those which do not work either being 100% blocked by my AV as being infected right up front, or a couple of others that seem like the ISP has them totally blocked - I see no reason to go to any great efforts in order to accomodate one, single, stinker of a site.
As I said, I've already tried a bunch of stuff and nothing helped - so it may be regional or have to do with the ISP and I'm not about to travel hours away from home just to get stuff out of mega;
That method does actually seem to work for it - but it would be very silly for me to do !!!

Hi smithnowt, have you tried Mipony in my thread above to try download from among others mega.nz. I will be interested to know if it can solve the regional issue.

Hi Kontiki, and thanks !!
Yes, I use IDM and Mipony - neither of which gives mega any attention at all.
I even tried methods suggested for getting direct file links to put into them manually...
Also a no-go.

Well after four hundred thousand posts you STILL have not said what your problem is with jdownloader2?
What exactly was your "problem" and "no-go" with jdownloader?
Enjoy,

.
Wow, thanks - that would make for quite a post count if it were so !!
Thanks for replying yet again Sir Ratzazz.
If you will be so kind as to look at where I'd answered this as best I could in #21, or where you'd quoted me in #22, that is the best and only info I have as I have since given up on both mega AND Jdownloader.
Though this thread has been good for some exchange upon those subjects, my point in posting a reply here was 2-fold:
1 - To suggest that mega itself is a poor choice;
2 - To point out that it simply may not work in some places for some folks.
Yes, it is easy enough to point back at me and say it is just MY problem, but that is simply not true as there are others here who also have problems with trying to use it.
Thanks, and Best Wishes.
