I just read that JDownloader2 comes with adware integrated in the installer. This is probably where the adware and PUP instances are listed above; still, I can't explain the actual reference to trojans. As good as this program may be, I'll have to pass.
Nonetheless, thanks, ratzazz.

My apologies to you and everyone.
I had the wrong link in the OP which is now corrected along with the correct virustotal link.
The virustotal is not clean but you have to look at the community score (+70) on it.
I have been using it for years with no problems whatsoever and the adware has never bothered me to the point I didn’t realize it was even there until now when I "looked' for it LOL!
HTH.

Sadly its not a one-size-fits-all solution.
I have tried JDownloader several different times and ways and it gave me nothing but trouble to the point that I just gave up on using it.
Also:
Mega seems to be very region specific from what folks have shown and what I've seen here.
Even when it is not imposing some limits or other - it usually just fails - seems to be like a bad joke how it'll often get over 90% of something and just cut out.
'Best' of all though is how it hits the absurd BW allotment up for the failures that it likely causes for the users.
Too much aggravation for this old guy.
I think its great that it seems to work well for some folks - for me it seems best to just avoid using it.

Thank you, ratzazz, for coming back to report. I appreciate it.

What kind of 'trouble' does it give you?
What OS?
What browser?
I'm curios as I've never had any problems with it and no one I know hasn’t either.

Thanks for replying to me Ratzazz.
As I mentioned, it seems to be a regional, ISP type of problem as I have used my same NB when at another location - even over wifi rather than CAT5 - and it didn't quit on me there.
That is what it does - it just quits here - no matter which of my 2 desktops and/or OSes or the NB is used - and then mega says I used too much BW.
(It is also not browser-specific as I've pretty much tried 'em all.)
Anyhow, I just say Phooey to mega and avoid the nasty thing as much as possible !!

Do you have the same problems with other hosts with jdownloader or just mega?

Most other hosts - NP - or hardly ever:

Some simply don't open so I suspect the ISP has them blocked.
Jdownloader is another thing entirely - it is just a no-go for me and I'm happy enough with IDM, Mipony and Allavsoft.
My only goal remaining with mega is to get whatever I've imported there OUT and then just avoid getting sucked into using it after that.
It is such a PITA to use here though that unless there's a great way to get the GBs of stuff over to another host, it'll just rot there...

What exactly is wrong with jdownloader?
You say it is "problem" and "no-go" but you still have not said why.
