2-software keys
3-change host files
4-block both programm in firewall if you confuse block using this software for block firewall http://>>>[[[Reported by Members as URL Shortener! Post the actual link!]]]<<</2egHQac
After it
1) Close your internet conection (or block all temporaly with your firewall)
2) Go to this folder: "..\ProgramData\TechSmith\"
3) Edit 'RegInfo.ini' file and change all for this:
[RegistrationInfo]
RegisteredTo=Any Name
RegistrationKey=BBCUV-UVDRC-M8C5S-CHMX7-2M3A5
ValidationData1=
ValidationData2=1
ValidationData3=1
4) save file.
Use either of the following two methods to register the application.
Completely block the program executables in your firewall
<install dir>\CamtasiaStudio.exe
<install dir>\CamRecorder.exe
Add the following entries to your hosts file
127.0.0.1 http://www.techsmith.com
127.0.0.1 65.52.240.48
127.0.0.1 activation.cloud.techsmith.com
Camtasia Studio Full4
127.0.0.1 oscount.techsmith.com
127.0.0.1 updater.techsmith.com
127.0.0.1 camtasiatudi.techsmith.com
127.0.0.1 tsccloud.cloudapp.net

I tried this and the program started all well with no error messages
However the video pane inside the program is not working properly
Apparently its showing whatever is there in the background
(Here is a snapshot where it shows a part of the wallpaper: https://gyazo.com/2df051d1215231e96ae9b7d0bd878845)
If I open Chrome and then open this program then it will show that portion of chrome.
Anyone else faced this issue?

Okay...this might be the dumbass question of the day but I'm losing my mind here.
I followed instructions in the past and had Camtasia 8, then later 9, running just fine.
Recently I went to share a project and it shut me down.
I suspect a windows update screwed it up for me.
Here's the thing I can't find the reg.ini nor the hosts file at all!
Yes I went in and checked "show hidden files"...I can't find either file in the folder structure for either Camtasia 8 or 9!
I'd take a screenshot to prove it to you but Jing won't allow me to do it either (application not found)
Please help...either I or my computer might just be toast...one of us might not make it ;)
