It's totally different.
They compliment each other very well.

Use Audience Drill to research the target audience based on interest.
And then use Adsviser to spy on successful ads to advertise to the target audience.

Of course Audience Drill has the spy function, called Post Drill.
But that has very limited function and is very basic.
Also, Adsviser has the "View Insights" function which is not available in the Post Drill function within Audience Drill.


In fact for serious FB marketers, for research purpose.

This is the new feature added to Adsviser, to spy deep into the Ads and get a good estimate of what is the targeted interest they are targeting.

But as earlier mentioned by me, this would not be a good research strategy.
The best strategy is to know the target audience you want, and then only come out with the FB Ad targeting the audience.
You need the FB Targeting tools for that.
Once you have identified your target audience, there's where Adviser comes in. To help you in designing and creating the FB ads to target those audiences.

so for spy interest too need Targeting Inspector 2.0 + Audience Drill, right?
