Hi burninginhell and anyone else having this problem,

Wanted to let you know that I had similar troubles at first because I tried to install outside of what the developer had in mind. This is because my PHP memory limit was too low and I was running version 5.2...which is what was causing the problems.

Here's the process that worked for me:

*DO NOT try to troubleshoot the existing installation...you will only have problems.

1. Make sure that your server has at least 128mb allocated for PHP
2. Make sure your PHP version is 5.3
3. Intall the plugin - "WordPress Reset". It will wipe everything and give you a clean slate.
4. Activate your theme and go through each step making sure that each step is checked off.
5. BAM...done! Enjoy this beautiful theme and support the developer when you can because WOW...this is a nicely done theme.

Thanks. going to try updating the php file as I increased the allocation size, didn't work.

is gzip feature enabled on your vps/hosting?

It's still not working :(

I'm increase the PHP memory_limit to 128M in the php5 configuration. I updated my PHP to PHP 5.5.9.

I've added the GZIP code into ngnix to enable it on the server side. According to this tool https://rtcamp.com/tutorials/nginx/enable-gzip/ it says enabled. The server does have GZIP enabled and not just the output page.

Yet when I try to install the theme, it says GZIP is not enabled :(



Even the wordpress plugin called "Check and Enable GZIP compression" tells me it's enabled.

I don't know what else to do. The theme still thinks GZIP is not enabled

Can someone please reup this again?

Hi burninginhell. If you started fresh (ran the WP Plugin I mentioned) and upgraded PHP, then it should work as it did work for me. The only thing I can offer is search the exact error you are having in big G and of course the developer's knowledgebase.

I just did a fresh install of Wordpress through Installatron. Didn't work as it said "Your server doesn't support file compression (GZIP)"

Enabled the GZIP config in the nginx files to 'enable GZIP on the server' side again, still it's giving me the same error.

Thinking to fully abandon this wonderful theme :(

My PHP version is update to date
