I'd suggest anyone who is about to download something should STOP, take a
pause, and then ask themselves how the download is going to help them
move forward. And be honest.
Quoted from NON Conformers recent post. , this is REALLY GOOD ADVICE.. because.. in addition to the reasons listed..
What do you do with a hard drive full of stuff that you can't imagine where to begin where to start...
I have been a sucker, a leecher, a shiny object chaser and overly optimistic about "sales" letter.. I have been the copywriters dream
target to speak to..
I am starting writing . not copy .. YET. but just writing. even here, this now.. is helping my "habit". .that i want to create..
so SERIOUS. .WHO KNOWS HOW TO FILTER THE CRAP ON ONE'S HARD DRIVE FROM THE GEMS.. THAT SHOULD BE KEPT FOREVER.. well..
Prioritize or outsource them .. I have often tried to outsource.. "learning.. hasn't worked well.. you have to have the right person..
well I am rambling..thanks for the post. OP and REPPED !!

Only been diving in and out for the titbits - this one - catching up with this thread.
IMO this is one of the best forum threads and D/L's for real world advice I've ever read.
I aint saying too much but the OP and Quasar are blunt to the point of nearly offensive -
AND this is needed for those who want to succeed. No pain No gain....
Enough said -

30yr Vet in the business.
PPS To Q and the OP - Your so on target about choosing the red or blue pill. If you want to see more look up "state of mind" on YT (And ignore any comments by AJ in the video) Those directors got it spot on.

The best way to get organized and STAY organized is to sort and manage your files/info right from the minute you get them.
I consider hard drives libraries. If you catalog them properly- you have instant "uncluttered" access to a wealth of knowledge at the click of a mouse.
Here's the most important thing to remember.
There's nothing wrong with having a GIANT library, in fact, it's highly HIGHLY recommended. Use the contents of your "well screened and organized" library AS YOU NEED IT.
I will never use 90% of the library, BUT it's awesome to have it if and when I do need it. Plus, no internet connection required.
Libraries are great - hoarding just to hoard is not.
I would say the majority of people on here just hoard files with no intention of using them. They lie to themselves about it. They are buried under cluttered desktops full of files to review, cluttered external hard drives with files they'll "get to" soon, cloud accounts all over the pace filled with all kinds of files, which they've forgotten they even grabbed etc. etc. Nothing more than digital dust collectors.
This new age of video products is a trend I hope dies. Not only are they ridiculously large in file size, but the content is so bloated as well. Nothing worse than having to sit through a long drawn out collection of videos that could have been said in a short report. What a total disservice to your customers and a total lack of respect for peoples time. And then toss in a boring monotone personality and you'll want to rip your hair out if you even make it to the end of the videos.
I don't give a fuc.k if I come off as offensive. Offensiveness is in the eye of the beholder anyway. imo - People need to be offended so they start snapping out of their politically correct fear driven wussy syndrome that seems to be spreading all over the planet. - btw - That's not directed at anyone, it's just a general observation of people. When people are offended by something, it's because they are fearful of something. Something offensive is questioning their belief systems. And yes, I just pulled that out of my ass, but I'll stand behind it. lol

btw - I have seen state of mind, and for the record, AJ is a tool, a "useful idiot."
Distract, spread fear, break up debate, shit discussion, plant seeds to manipulate opinion etc. These f.uckwad dis-info trolls are all over the internet, especially on social media and forums.
Eh, that's all I'll get into about that or this thread will totally go off topic into the rabbit hole. Those who know, well, know and those who don't, I ain't spoonfeeding ya.

AJ = Puppet Idiot as mentioned. Data and Intel on the Architects of "manufactured consent" as old as the sun and very much alive in todays society. Goodnight and God bless.

The Procrastination Cure is really good, as rec'd earlier in the thread. But I don't think most of you will fully be able to understand the fundamental truth of that book .. that motivation is useless as it sits in the same jail cell as your cerebral cortex. This thread itself is motivational in nature for many judging by some of the responses, but the only way out is to actually put into use what you read (and have a strong sense of what doesn't work for you no matter how many recs it gets). Otherwise you'll be back for the 2016 version of this thread, on this or some other forum.
