It's similar in features and functionality best thing is to just play around with the demo here

You’ll probably need a 3rd party (SMTP) but it’s still way cheaper than aweber or mailchimp.
You could even get away without one if you’re only sending a small number of emails but you’ll need to contact your host to find out what this number is, as each host can be different.
