Thanks @ jorgemv for the share!

Review:

It's a book being sold on another site. Very cleverly written, the main aim of the book is to dupe the hapless newbie. It is obvious that the book creator is an old internet marketing hand, but is now desperate, so desperate that his "victim"(his favorite term in his book!) is the IM newbie who hunts for ways to make money online on forums.

The book is full of red flags, in fact every other page has a red flag in it. But let me keep it brief and point out the main ones.

His first method is to write an article on Medium with a link to his minisite. Links on Medium are allowed but are frowned upon. The problem is that Medium is extremely sensitive to spam, the exact spam that he is asking you to carry out on the site.

Not that he must have tried it himself, but there is no way you can hop on to Medium to write about how you got rich winning a lottery(or even write a "story" about it as he describes), and then also link to your "minisite".

If an authority or expert in a niche writes a post on Medium and links to his authority site that has hundreds of useful posts, that could be acceptable but saying that he promoted a lottery affiliate offer with a single article on the site is going too far.

Blatant lie, but anyone who has an idea of what Medium is will smell a rat right away.

Then he asks you to spam on YouTube. Let me give you a little backstory here.

About 7-8 years ago there was a product called Minisite Cash Cow that taught about creating a one page affiliate minisite, that was then given a unique name based n a product of the same name. A name so unique that there would be no keywords or name that resembles it.

Naturally, following some basic SEO rules you could rank the site quickly and easily, using the quick indexing methods of the day. The site contained 1-2 posts that had links to a Clickbank product.

Then you were supposed to hop on to YouTube, look for related videos in the niche, and then drop a comment about how you found an excellent product called Youruniquename that solved all your problems/ made you rich etc. and then asked people to Google it. And voila, they found your site on page one rank one when they googled Youruniquename and then came across the Clickbank link, clicked on it, and possibly some purchased the product.

Basically a numbers game, with YouTube being the source of traffic.

The reason I mentioned Minisite Cash Cow(I think that was what it was called) is because ever since YouTube has been spammed to death using the method. Yep, all these years - check comments underneath any video in a Clickbank niche.

So much so that anyone writing a comment now about how he got rich by winning a lottery and then points to a site is going to be banned in a matter of hours. In fact, the person who "invented" the MCC method did so because affiliate links were already getting flagged 8 years ago. So coming up with a unique name that was actually a sort of code for a Clickbank product did not need an affiliate link or any site link to be inserted anywhere. So no flagging of comments that innocently mentioned only a name. Pure genius, at least at the time.

The third major flag is where he describes the PDF download method. He clearly says that the keyword phrase Product Name + PDF is used by people who are looking for a free download i.e. do not have enough money to buy products.

But then he shoots himself in the foot when he goes on to say that you will make a mini PDF that has an affiliate link in it. Doesn't make sense - because freeloaders look for PDFs in the first place as he himself says, so who will click on the affiliate link in your PDF and buy the product?

Actually, it might just work for free offers like CPA offers, but he doesn't even mention CPA, he is only talking about affiliate commissions from Clickbank products or similar.

Besides, no affiliate networks will appreciate people clicking on their affiliate links and not converting to sales so again there you go.

The last one is Fiverr, where he asks you to create a $5 gig and then asks you to send customers a message with a link to your site. This is clearly forbidden according to Fiverr rules. Granted they were a bit lenient in the past but they have been cracking down heavily on such gigs for at least a few years.

Your account will be shut down as soon as you are reported by the first customer who buys your $5 gig only to be sent an affiliate link later through a message.

There's also a video on the Fiverr rules page which clearly explains that if a seller intends to offer anything to the customer after the main gig is complete, it must be clearly mentioned in advance. An affiliate link is out of the question.

Even funnier, you're supposed to be an internet marketer creating a gig on Fiverr, and there you are working on a gig where you are imparting advice on "how to get an ex back"! Lol, so funny, but I think he just went a bit overboard with it.

The closest he comes to honest truth is where he himself admits that he paid $160 to rank his gig on Fiverr.

If you have bought gigs on Fiverr, or if you work on Fiverr, you will know that Fiverr is full of fake, purchased reviews. I just checked a few love spell gigs and from a mile away I can tell that all the reviews are fake.

I think that's what he actually does for a living - selling gigs on Fiverr using fake reviews to rank his gigs.

Now, that's a pretty good business, if you do it right! Granted you do need to spend a lot of money on reviews, but that's how most successful blackhat Fiverr sellers are raking in the $$$$.

Conclusion:
So that's it. Don't fall for what is written in the book, I've given you the biggest red flags and even a backstory from where he got some of his ideas above. There's a hint right at the end of the review if you can pick up on it. ;-)

This is from BHW, seems to be exploding with sales.
Not really my cup of tea offering deceitful BS gigs and offers.
He doesn't give other niches examples you can try.

Main idea seems to finding money throwing, desperate or greedy prospects, use fiver for traffic. Other traffic methods doesn't seem to be to believable to make them work as Ricky P wrote above.

If someone has tried or have some ideas you can make this work, please comment.

The strategy using Youtube comments for traffic but without links is working for me. (This was why I thought the course offered some interesting credible ideas but can't argue with @Ricky P's analysis -thanks to him for his crafted critique.)

I use trending videos that are congruent with my own books sold via KDP. I refer to the book author and Amazon in the comment but don't provide the link, and then pump the comment with comment likes. My sales have seen an uptick as a result. Choose the videos well and you don't have to do much of this - a few select videos, carefully written comments, 30 - 50 upvotes at a cost of a few 10s of cents, and they can stay ranked for weeks.

As for the rest of it: don't know. I think academia.edu can work as a parasite - but testing it now.
