Hey FredB, no one is reported without sending him a warning message first, that contain why he must stop bumping old threads and how it affects our forum badly, then wait for a week for him to reply and apologize, if he did we remove his name before sending the report list to admins, if he didn't we send it with his name, and if you got any problem with this thread or saving the whole section from spammers, take a look at the number of voters with, and number of voters against, on this thread.

if they really want to fix this, bbhf should enable sorting by [b]newest thread[/b], not by newest reply but really only based on newest thread, that will fix everything this spammer has caused.

if you try the sorting by thread, it actually doesn't work as it is supposed to do.

Dear Respected Members, I really like to apologize for the spamming. I never posted in threads with the intention of Spamming. After days of searching I finally found a platform where I can get the courses free in which I interested most. SO, I posted in some OLD THREADS and ask for the new coupons by thinking that may be the up loader have or can arrange the new coupon. I just posted in threads to know if they have a new coupon or not. I didn't know that replying on old threads cause them to jump right on top. certainly I do not have the idea about this at all.

I repeat again, SPAMMING was never ever my intention. I did not come here to cause problems. Thanks

Hey Jerome, it's not allowed to create a new thread if there's a new coupon for an old course (just one thread per course to make it easy for searchers) , the only way to add a new coupon for old thread is by search for a thread with the course name, then paste the new coupon in a reply post, which will result in a healthy thread bumping.
by this, neglecting "please new coupon" spammy posts, the first page or several pages, will always contain fresh coupons, neither they're new threads for new courses, or old threads for old courses with new coupons.
that's why I find sorting by reply is far better, but we need first to get rid of spammers out there, and that's why we created this thread

thanks for your valuable contribution, manager had been added to the report list and a warning message was sent, some good news too, you had been added to the BBHF Udemy Forum Champions List on the thread for top people who report spammers on udemy section (not on any other sections), so people can rep you, and I gave you max rep ;) , the same happened for jamputto member too.

I assume that the issue is that you cannot differentiate between which is a new thread or an old thread due to spammer activities right?

That's why I suggested having sorting by newest thread and newest reply (that have to work as it is intended to do) can solve the problem.

Or we can specifically only allow replies after certain duration passed from the thread's last reply, I am pretty sure mybb is customizable enough to perform such task.

I mean we cannot blame spammers here, sometimes when I find courses I want to get more than one at once, for example I am looking for marketing courses, there's no way I am just getting 1 course as a reference, I want every available courses out there if possible and when the coupon isn't working what do we do?

Let me be clear, I have NO problem with you trying to reduce spam, I think it's a great idea, my problem is users like bs0000 who think they are the board police and jump at people when they make mistakes he sometimes insults them and promises others "+rep if you report them so they get kicked out of the board" are you OK with that?

Are you OK with bs0000 breaking the same rules he and you want to enforce? Here's a link where the rules are 'ONLY free with a coupon' guess who?

Finally, sorry to bring this to your thread but I think is time for bs0000 and others like him to STFU. When I came to this board I started sharing Udemy coupons that I found. It wasn't too long before I posted a duplicate and had "bs" and friend bashing me for it. I explained that the search here sucks but they kept bashing me, after that and seeing how they treat others I stopped sharing. Are you OK with that?
