Honestly I think even Repping has gone down. It's so much easier to hit and run that it's exactly what people are doing. The reps I get from mirrors is down and from a share? almost none. and pretty much ONLY in the VIP section.

I get 10x more rep just from comments I make in these threads than I ever do from mirroring or sharing.

I think, to put it as simply as I can, that - the removal of thanks was NECESSARY for speed. However, it's a whole new world now- where only a few are going to get recognition (like, JohnnyShadow - omg who could NOT give him reps? LOL) but most people are going to get about a 1% credit for contribution.

I get that number from my reps for shares and mirrors. It's down to about 1 % of the people downloading from my links now.

So.. will I stop?

Heck no. However.. I will now put some things only in VIP that I would have otherwise posted out here. Not because I want some arbitrary score telling the world I am awesome (although I am!)

But because sometimes we want to know that people appreciate us at least a little bit more than at a 1% level


and the only ones who go above a 1% "thank you by rep" level are the ones in the VIP area.
