Right click on the 'hosts' file and choose ‘Open’.

Inquisitor, ... YOU ROCK !! These are the REAL instructions on how to get Camtasia....

I tried to upgrade the Camtasia Studio from 8.2 version to 8.5.1
because my Sony camcorder files will integrate with the newest
version instead of having to convert to a different file version and then
upload them into camtasia.... when I did, it reverted me back to trial Camtasia customer and I have tried everything else, wading through the STUPID files that are filled with viruses and with keygens my virus protection shows are full of viruses.... That is just STUPID to provide files to help someone get these different softwares and then try to vandalize their machines with malicious software and Trojan Horses.... I REALLY hope the karma goes back on THEM....

Camtasia is really excellent software, but for $300 is a gouge and they are trying to rob people at that price...

Inquisitor,...I thought I was giving YOU the plus 1 on reputation points, but got confused because the post above was so close to the beginning of yours .... so the guy above got it...and there is no way to change it and at least give you a plus 1..... SOOO sorry about that. I'm just not a frequent user and I don't leave that many atta boys or rep points.... I will get you back when I can... You for sure cured my frustrations !!! Thanks again !!

thanks inquisitor it works fine in win 7 64, but not in win 10 as I cant find the

if i put ini file in
Start\Computer\Local Disk C:\Program Files\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio 8\
it doesnt seem to work.
any ideas?
