Every marketer should be keeping up on the latest rules concerning marketing to the rest of the world. The Internet is world wide, not just a local thing. you'll be getting hits from all over the globe. Don't ignore the changes that are here and will be coming, like Canada's Anti spam law.there are several threads out that you should read. Don't get left swinging in the breeze. |

RE:
Review.
20 pages. First 10 pages is word to word sales page. 0ther 10 pages solution. Well the idea is to write on terms and conditions page that by clicking buy button buyer affirms that purchase is not for business purposes, he is not from EU or he will pay VAT himself if needed. So. How ethical is this it's up to you to decide. But if you will read his disclaimer you will notice that he recommends to seek advice from legal, tax or accounting professionals before relaying on info in his book. And I think that is the best advice he gave in his ebook. About the topic. VAT is nothing new they just making changes that brings some pain. But there are some e-commerce platforms who take care of VAT, I'm sure there are some plugins also and think there will be a lot of coming (hint hint for somebody with good programing skills it's really good product idea). Also heard some rumors that even paypal (on business accounts) take care of VAT. All in all when it's something not clear about taxes you should take advice only from tax attorneys. |

RE:
There was a thread about this on WF as well. After reading your review I haven't even downloaded this crap. The truth is that his solution can only give you a piece of mind but won't get you through a tax audit.
There are 3 things you can do if you are doing business from an EU country and selling digital goods to end users (B2C) in other EU countries: - if you only have minor sales to other European countries you can just somehow stop selling to them --> only viable if you really have just minor sales - ask for proof of location (i.e physical address and IP), add the respective VAT to the bill and do the necessary administration to report the VAT through your countries MOSS system - in my opinion this is the best option for those who have enough cross-EU sales to pay for the additional administrative costs - use a 3rd party sales platform like Clickbank to care of this part for you. Remember that you need a sales platform who acts like a retailer to the customers for your products. Paypal or any other payment processor can not be enough to take care of this issue. They are just payment processors, even if they calculate the right VAT for every customer you will have to do the administration and report it through the MOSS system. With a sales platform like Clickbank from a legal point of view you are actually only selling to Clickbank, a US company and they are reselling your products to customers, so this new tax law doesn't apply to you. Maybe I should write a WSO about this :) (12-29-2014 12:16 AM)loboble Wrote: Review. |

RE:
Some of you have also asked if the new VAT rules apply to digital items
that are delivered to customers by email. At least in the UK, the government has taken the position that PDFs manually emailed by sellers are not covered by the new rules. |
