I mean about checking issues fellow members having. Cracks are on all over the web. But we need to workout clean solution. Thats why.

What does the cracker group do? I would assume they crack software or am I totally off base here?

Yes, until someone can come up with a better crack, this works.

Hey why complain, you are using a piece of expensive software for free... If you want it to work perfectly then pay for it.

Hi Saunders, I'm not complaining just explaining my results to other. It'ok for me. The good result is there. No need to fight me or giving a lesson.

Not trying to fight or give any lessons. It's time consuming and a lot of thinking that goes into cracking or finding software workaround. Just be happy it works even though it's not perfect work around. If you have a better solution, figure it out and share with the rest of us in the forum...

Hi all, After install, add IP adress to host file, then
You should go to Program Data => Techsmith => Camtasia Studio 9.
Open RegInfo.ini file with notepad, them insert the key to:
RegistrationKey=Key from instruction.
RegisteredTo=Anyname
Save
Right click for open properties => Choose Read Only, => Ok.

SORRY IT DIDN'T WORK FOR ME. WHILE TRYING TO PRODUCE IT SAYS OUR ACTIVATION SERVER IS UNABLE TO ACTIVATE YOUR COPY.I don't know but while installing I haven't seen any option to copy paste serial key. Serial key option only comes right after installation. Any solution?

THOSE WHO CAN MAKE IT WORK CAN YOU SHARE YOUR CAMTASIA INSTALLER? I GUESS THE UPDATED FILE FROM THE TECHSMITH HAS FIXED FEW ISSUES THAT PREVENTS ME TO INPUT SERIAL KEY AT THE BEGINNING OF INSTALLATION.

You may get a popup saying that it can't activate and that's normal. Once you get past the popup you should be in the application. I will have to make a video and post somewhere for everyone.

Sorry mate that's not the case. First of all there is no option to input serial key at the beginning of the installation. May be techsmith fixed the issue. Now it requires it at the first launch. and after maintaining everything it shows multiple user license but right after clicking on share option to produce the video it says your copy cannot be validated but you still can use trial.

CAN YOU PLEASE SHARE YOUR CAMTASIA INSTALLATION FILE? I FEEL NOW WHAT WE HAVE DOWNLOADED FROM THE SERVER IS UPDATED AND FIXED FEW ISSUES.

Well I finally got it working thanks to telecom66's detailed instructions. +reps for you ;)

Okay, when I click share, I still see the dreaded 'Activations Server' popup nag screen, but hey, it's free and it still renders fine without the watermark.

One thing I have noticed though (probably a program bug) is if you add an annotations font only to the canvas and try to change the font style, the program always crashes. Only noticed that particular bug up to now. Anyone else experiencing this?

I installed the version you're referring to that doesn't ask for a serial number before installation, but telecom66's instructions worked for me. You don't even need to enter any details into the program itself. Just edit the host file as per his/her instructions ;)
