RE: [GET] A Salty Marketing Lesson - How To Sell Salt For 50 Dollars A Pound
@idioto
Did you find the whole conference set or are you just talking about the Peter Nicholas videos we posted? The Nicholas clip we have is actually from a Peter Sun 4 Day Marketing Conference. I've been looking for the whole conference, his old site looks like it's dead, but this is the info for the full conference and everyone that was presenting: https://web.archive.org/web/201304100812..._super.htm |

@actionguy
I hear what ya saying, actually it should NOT surprise me cos as I've said before most on here congregate in the BS WSO section looking for the MAGIC Pill...! Anyway...over to idioto My question is same as NC's ...do you have the complete 1997 Peter Sun 4 Day Marketing Conference? If so, it would be ABSOLUTELY MARVELLOUS to get it up on this forum, in fact my mouth is drooling at the thought on it..! There are some seriously fabulous speakers at this event, for example: Peter Edwards - Peter shocked everyone with his graphic before and after examples of various diseases he treated (and cured) - by completely natural means. He is one of Australia's most respected trainers and authors in the health arena. Check out Peter's biography: http://vitality.com.au/peters-biography/ I emailed there site 3 days ago to see they still had this Conference and what price, as maybe we could do a GB, as yet not had a reply... Unless YOU idioto have the complete 1997 Peter Sun 4 Day Marketing Conference, it will prove difficult to get, as its from 1997, near on 20 years old! Keep an eye out on eBay, saw this recently listed, unfortunately only the work book. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BBI-PETER-SUN...7675.l2557 ''Properly Exploited...One Good Idea That Occurs To You While Walking On The Beach Is Worth More Than 10 Lifetimes Of Hard Work!'' ~Gary Halbert~ R.I.P |

RE: [GET] A Salty Marketing Lesson - How To Sell Salt For 50 Dollars A Pound
Mate, I've been watching ebay for quite a while for that conference. No luck.
--- Now back to the topic... I do the same shit that Nicholas does, but with private label. The key is to build your own brand and uniqueness. It's not hard at all... in fact... it's easy money. I don't just mean private label consumables, I'm talking content as well. How much PLR content do you have sitting on your drives? Do you think it's just going to stand up on its own and make you money? If you take PLR, toss it up on a website and think that's a business... you should just quit marketing now. However, what you can do: Why not watch the Nicholas presentation... shut your mouth about how much you think you know about marketing and product creation... pay attention... scan your drives... then go build out an asset. Use the 4 books in my copywriting thread (especially Breakthrough Advertising) to make it a success. http://bestblackhatforum.com/Thread-4-Co...loody-Rich Not sure why people keep making it so difficult. Making money is not hard if you stop listening to these idiot IM GURU's with their endless complexity that fatten everything up and make a simple process more difficult. This is by design, it's how they keep building "huge" courses that you'll never use to begin with. You'll just continually bog yourself down in their endless bullshit. Let me show you the yellow brick road to success... - Create A Product That Fills A Need And Solves Problems - Advertise The Product (yes, this means actually spending money) - Test And Continually Improve Your Advertising/Marketing SYSTEMS - Re-Invest Your Profits And Build More Products And Businesses That's it... THAT IS THE MILLION DOLLAR KEY TO SUCCESS You won't find it in the WSO/BSO section. |

Here's one thing I believe is important about the part I bolded though - competition, to an extent, doesn't matter, because if you market your product better than others (using the books and materials here on BBHF), others will be miles behind. I used to be concerned about competition, thinking 'oh, it's already done' - until I started looking at local businesses and even online ones. Poor branding, awful customer service, no offers, the list goes on and on - every single thing that's garbage provides you with an opportunity to overtake them. |

@NonConformer
I have been regularly working on my copy writing skills for last month and a half. After reading few recommended books on copywriting, I have concluded that your English writing skills matter a lot. If your prose is week, no matter who good the content of copy is, it will have not impress the client. What is your take on it? Do you recommend some good English Books which can help copywriters to improve their English prose? Thanks |

(08-02-2016 04:37 PM)darktangent Wrote: @NonConformerWhat will impress a client is increasing their profits. lol But seriously, the best copy I have used is copy that makes your words disappear. Copy that is conversational and flows without any need to worry about grammar or trying to impress anyone. And by best - I mean most profitable. Write like you talk. (not as easy as it sounds) Also, in my experience, the better story you tell... the more compelling your copy. This also comes right back to conversational copy. The market you are targeting would obviously play a roll here. For example, if you are trying to sell something technical to say an engineer... you'll probably find that your copy would be more profitable if you use more technical terms. Notice I said "probably," which brings me to this... No matter who you are targeting, they are all just people. I would say to always write like you are sitting across from someone having a conversation. I'm doing it with you right now. I'm talking to YOU, not a group of people, even though this will be read by many people with the same effect. And in the end - there's only ONE possible way to know for sure what works for your particular market. ---> Testing Always test your copy. Always be trying to beat your control. One last thing. I have found that if I'm targeting the "general herd" so to speak, the more technical and advanced the writing... the less profit it will produce. You need to dumb it down. Write on an 8th grade level and I bet you'll make more money. There's plenty of shares in the copywriting section on here that can help you write like this. Grab the "Words that sell," "writing for the web" and similar shares. Some of the books focused on persuasion would be beneficial to you. Start with "Influence." They are more important imo. |
