Christmas Edition

1. Being that today is Christmas, I started Wordle with the 5-letter word CAROL, a Christmas song. I got A and R but they're in the wrong position in the word.

2. I reversed the letters A and R in the 2nd and 3rd position by coming up with the word GRASP, but got the same result. Both letters are in the word but they're in the wrong place.

3. Having only A and R to work with, I decided to begin the word with the letter A and put the letter R elsewhere in the word. So I came up with AVERT. Luckily, I got the letter R in the right position. This guess also gave me the letters E and T to add to my arsenal.

4 Lastly (because I'm old-school), I used a pencil paper to draw 5 horizontal lines so I could to pencil in the other letters to come up with a word that could be the solution. First, I put the R in its rightful (4th place) position. Then, moving the available options (gold letter squares) A, E and T around until I found a suitable word, I came up with EXTRA.

5. ALL GREEN LETTERS! Wordle solved!

NOTE: Let Wordle guide you to the solution. Always look at the letters you get right but are in the wrong position (gold squares). Put them in different positions to see if you can come up with the right word.

It's not always easy but it's a whole lot of fun.
