I don't think you or anyone can go too far with back-testing.

The more samples in the back-testing, the better representative of that market over time (IMO).

Even though I don't trade Forex with computer systems, I have friends who do (or have). I think it's very important that you route the EA through a VPN so it is always on. If you lose Internet connection or power and your machine disconnects, you would still be connected through the VPN. I'm pretty sure a VPN was what I was told to use. If not, just have a good laugh on me.



You don't want the program to miss a signal -- especially an exit. Also, since we don't know how this EA works, it might get swapped and start entering on what should be an exit and exiting on the next entry signal.

Maybe not, I don't know about EAs.

I would also suggest you ignore the call of immediate riches and run it on your computer for at least a month on demo and see what the results are. Fantin has given an astonishing equity curve over almost 8-YEARS so this isn't something likely to stop working in 31-days.

Finally, I would get in the habit of monitoring it at least every day -- if not more than once during each day.

What I'm saying is . . . BE SAFE!
