RE: (GET) Ben Settle - Copy Slacker
First Of all, I can't thank enough to the OP for this share! Awesome!
Thanks and repps!

Now, here's something that I think is important.

If you listen the video Nº 7 in 17:44, Ben said:

"Ed Mayer, a Direct Response Teacher, has this formula that is very accurate. Basically he said:

40% of your advertising effectiveness is the list,
another 40% is the offer,
and the copy is only 20%.

Now I (Ben) think it might be a little different than that.

50% of the effectivenes is the list,
30% is the offer,
20% is the copy,

...which I think is more accurate.

Either way, THE COPY IS THE SMALLEST PART

If you have everything right. If you got the right offer and a product that people want, it should sell even with crappy copy.

That's when I started to realize that copy is a sales multiplier, is NOT A SALES CREATOR

So, with that in mind, I want you to realize that, whether you go with the 40%, 40%, 20% or the 50%, 30%, 20%, either way 80% of your ad's effectiveness IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE COPY!

(...)

Is still important. When they ask me what's the most important thing that they can do to increase my response right away, my answer is TEST A DIFERENT OFFER. A better offer. Make your offer better.

Is not even a copywriting thing"

So, here we are, all of us with this great piece info about the LEAST IMPORTANT PART OF THE PUZZLE (I mean, the Copy part).

With these in mind, I shared one book all dedicated to the Offer, "THE IRRESISTIBLE. OFFER. How to Sell Your Product or. Service in 3 Seconds or Less." by Mark Joyner
http://bestblackhatforum.com/Thread-GET-...Joyner-pdf

If you kNow another GOOD product about offers, please share it.

The other (and maybe the most) important part of the puzzle is THE LIST.

So it would be awesome if someone can share something good about List Building.
Like for instance, "Newbie Proof List Building"
http://bestblackhatforum.com/Thread-GET-...Settle-pdf

If you know another product about List building, please share it.

This is the exact same content as you'll find in his newsletter "Crypto Marketing" issue 4-8. It's just in video format instead.

Just so you know :-)

Yes.
Not exactly the same but very similar. Based upon the same ideas

To me, the most important video of CopySlacker is the Nº 1.
Where you can learn how to know your market as much as you can.

Doug D’Anna said, (quoted by Ben Settle)
"I’m not the best writer.
I just know how to spot the open man
to make the touch down pass.”

Here's a why knowing your market is the most important part.

"The biggest problem anyone faces when it comes to writing their own copy is…
Knowing What To Say

I want to make sure you understand the importance of knowing “what to say”.
Here’s an example:

You go to a party.

There is a very good looking model there and you’d like to meet her.

So do all of the other men in the room.

One guy walks up to her and tells her about his mansion.

Another guy tries to impress her by talking about his business success.

Another guy tells her about his new Corvette. And on and on. Each guy tries his luck at making this beautiful model interested in him. But none of them succeeds.

Now, let’s say you have some insider knowledge about this girl.

Let’s say you know she loves puppies.

So instead of talking to her about all these things she does not care about… you… tell her about your puppy and invite her to see it.
She gets up and walks out the door with you.

Do you see the difference between knowing what to say and not?

Knowing what to say comes down to understanding what your market wants to hear about and listen to. Some things are not interesting to them. Others are mildly interesting. A few things… Hit Their Hot Buttons
Every Time Because they are passionate about those things.

It’s your job to know what your market is willing to listen to.
Then talk about those hot buttons only… and… exclusively.

Of course, it’s often difficult to put yourself in their shoes. The fact that you sell a particular product or service to a specific market does not mean you are one of them.
However, if you want to succeed at selling them in the easiest way possible you have to find out what they are willing to pay attention to."
