REVIEW :
1: Find businesses with high paying customers but crappy websites.
2: Contact them and arrange a meeting.
3: Before the meeting, build the website - whether you build it yourself or outsource it (before they have agreed to buy a site from you or given you a dime )
4: Meet with customer, buy them lunch, and show off the website you've built for them, quote them a crazy high price, and hope they stick around to A: barter you down, B: buy the site, and C: go in for upsells.
Maybe for some, but no way am I building or outsourcing a site on a maybe. I get the theory that being able to show them their site and the new site side by side is a great tool for the sale, but a lot of business owners are just stubborn donkeys who walk away if they feel pressured - like when you have already built a site and are trying to get them to buy it at some crazy high price.
