can anyone explain how to also use these clone sites as blogs - being able to add normal posts and articles as you would with any normal wordpress site - this guy has really screwed with the wp code making nothing work such as normal posting and where to put links such as header and footer links, no menus (all ripped out)

These are horrible templates to use as blogs btw.
Im pretty sure all the editing needs to be done from the templates edit menu on the left sidebar you should see it. It will have all the menu options etc.
As for other editing you need to go into the wp editor and make manual changes if you're not happy with the layout.
But try editing it through the little widget with the templates name on the sidebar of the wp admin panel

Thats not true. I had imdb clone and i ranked 1 on google.

Thanks, these templates work. But I have no idea how to add own articles or posts to the shop. No chance to customize anything easily.
Instead of messing around trying to make a regular blog out of these sites, just creat a subdirectory and add a fresh Wordpress installation. Use a simple free theme that is complimentary to the clone sites. Then add a link to the blog in the custom menu/sidebar/footer.
I do this all the time with my ecommerce builds etc. works great and provides all the SEO value you need as well.
