With the current situation with Google and all the updates, i would strongly advise against any kind of activities in order to get your website indexed faster, instantly or get your ranking to the top within 1 or 2 weeks.

While I would definitely agree - I gave this a try on a site I updated recently and did notice an improvement in rankings within a week. But, we will see if Google decides to reevaluate it.
