BBHF17 not working also :/ there is no discount anymore, same as in WF. Nice tactic to sell few copies with 17 and remove forever this plugin from site, nice tactic. For our forum should be 17 a bit more at least...

Is this resource heavy ? Anyone experienced any load with wp cron ?

The discount is for $27 now, the $17 coupon was a limited coupon and all ran out a while ago. This is because I've spent more time expanding the plugin. The next update will be around next month and will include the top-voted features that are here . 'BBHF27' is the discount that gives you $20 off.

I've built WP Indexer so that it is light on your server. Obviously it uses wp_cron which can be unreliable as it only works when you get regular visitors, the most reliable way is to create a cron job from your server (details on how to do this are in the guide - or I can do this for you if required).

The main load on your server will be from the Googlebot requests, which can be sorted by installing a caching plugin.

With the next update you will be able to enter your backlinks or other url's into the plugin to help them get indexed.

Let me know if you've got any other questions :)

The most voted features for the next update of WP Indexer:

I'm just finishing off final testing of my latest plugin (WP Linker) then I'll be adding all the most voted to WP Indexer.
Anyone can say it's better than Pingfresh or WP Rapid Indexer or other ? Since pingfresh, was pinging and bots come put to many the server down.

How is this real different ?

I don't want to buy and refund, but I am affraid this plugin will put my server down. Just like vyber spy, the moment was installed, mysql database was down.

few 100s users online and 25.000 posts on wordpress...

// Can this plugin handle wp big sites ? A honest review... thanks.

// what about "Rotating Proxy Support" support ? will u add it ? codexplugins. com /forums/202543-wp-indexer/suggestions/3907609-rotating-proxy-support

How this plugin can be bad for google ???

// can a server with 10s of sites and this plugin installed handle ?

Hey, thanks for the questions.

Yes, the plugin doing it's thing will take up close to zero server resources. Most of the time the plugin is waiting for other sites to respond (for example, when pinging) and when just waiting this basically doesn't use any cpu. An important thing to mention as well is it doesn't matter if you've 1 or 10,000,000 visitors on the site at the same time, it wont affect the server usage of WP Indexer.

So the plugin is 100% fine on big sites. I've had it running on some very big sites since pre-launch with no issues.

But the bigger, much more important question is can your server and WP install handle high traffic?
Because even if you spend 12 months link building and started getting tons of Google traffic - you might still have the same optimization problems.
Do some googleing for "wordpress optimization" and implement the common things - you'll see a huge improvement.

Proxy support

Honestly most blogs never need it. It only becomes an issue if you're setting up blog farms and posting lots.
I'm doing a (big) update in a week or so, and will be deciding what to add nearer the time. But it's usually things from the top of the most voted list where you linked.

How this plugin can be bad for Google

Hmmm... well worst case would be you setup say 100 blogs on 1 IP before I add proxy support, and post 100 times daily to each.
And what would happen then, is that the dashboard stats wouldn't update as often.

So that wouldn't be the end of the world :)

Can a server with 10s of sites and this plugin installed handle ?

I get asked similar questions to this quite often actually.

And the answer is that it depends on all the details.
  • How many daity posts?
  • What WP ping list?
  • What server spec?
  • Which host?
  • Which shared, VPS or dedicated?
  • How many IPs bound to the server?
  • What Index Frequency check num in WPI?
I'm putting these Qs here as an example of the things involved -not expecting you to answer :)

But the bottom line is that it's less about the plugin, and more about how you optimize the server to handle high traffic.
That's a problem of success that everyone will have to deal with as they get more people visiting their site.

I do offer refunds without any hassle if that's what you want (with no hard feelings :) )
Regarding proxies for sure we need private ones, right ? set and forget...

a server with 10s of sites, if there are only 1 post / site daily , will be ok with google ? 100 % ?

host, dedicated, 8 gb ram, i7, centos, latest... optimized.

ping list ... you don't provide the ping list ? we need to search for one ?

many IPs bound to the server? = 1 ip, making 2 nameservers with it, and having 50 sites not linked each other in any way. (no link exchange between them, on that ip) = is not OK ?

quote : "well worst case would be you setup say 100 blogs on 1 IP before I add proxy support, and post 100 times daily to each."

post 100 times daily to each you ment 100 posts / site daily... not 1 post on 100 sites, 100 posts in total... everyday.

WP Indexer detects if Google is starting to limit your requests, as soon as this happens checking is paused to protect your IP. I've found this only happen on shared hosts that are sending far too many requests to Google or if you've got lots of other plugins checking Google that aren't optimized. So if this happens you will see that it's paused in the log file. (unpauses after 24hours)

When proxies are implemented I will set it to private proxies only, public ones are too slow and get looked at too much by Google. You can request any feature you want to have in the plugin and if it gets voted for, it will be added to the next update if possible.

With the post frequency I meant 100 blogs each making 100 posts, 10,000 posts daily (an exaggeration) . If you do post a lot like this though you may see the checking being paused often. The reason WPI can handle a lot of requests per IP is that it doesn't spam them all at once, it does them gradually every 15 minutes. (It's for this reason I suggest setting up a cron job on your server as wp_cron can be very unreliable)

There is a ping list built into the plugin so you don't need to have one, but you can also use your pinglist you've saved in wordpress as well if you wish.

WP Indexer is Ioncube encoded so you will have to install loaders on your server for it to run. You can ask your host to do this or I am more than happy to help you if required. Any new updates you won't have to manually install on each blog again, once installed the first time you can then auto-upgrade all your sites with 1 click.

Hope this helps
