I can't find the installation directory. I went to Program Files and found the Long Tail Pro folder, but I don't see a swf file anywhere. Can someone please explain what I'm doing wrong? Thanks!

Don't worry, the swf file is in the installation directory, just copy over the crack, it will ask you to replace it if you did everything correctly. Then just say "yes" and you're done!

Now I feel like a total idiot! Where the hell is the installation directory? I still don't understand. There is no folder that says "installation directory". Can someone please explain how to do what I need to do in layman's terms?

It should be somewhere like C:\Program Files (x86)\Long Tail Pro, it really depends on your operative system (32-bit or 64-bit) and if you installed it in the default directory or in another.
