I use @ffinity Publisher to create my print books for KDP. I think it's a heck of a lot simpler and faster to use than InDesign with quality as good.
Sales Page:
Lots of YouTube video tutorials so once you've gotten it installed, you're good to go. Just set it up and output as a PDF.
*NOTE: I downloaded this file DIRECTLY from @ffinity but I did run it through VirusTotal. You can see that here:

It has one positive out of 63:
This is a FALSE POSITIVE. I've also scanned it in Comodo and it's clean... Plus? I've been running it for over a month and NO PROBLEMS on my end.
