This subject was brought to mind tonight after noticing a share made by our own wonderful StillStanding of 'Leaky Gut Protocol', here:

This is a subject that I view as near and dear because it has already been dealt with successfully by me, for myself, and with great results.
There is much background and related info to go with this, but as the title says, this is a simplified version that does NOT require hundreds of pages to describe in endless detail, so here is the 1st very important FACT:
The standard American diet (SAD) leads directly to leaky gut and all its attendant inflammations.
Here are the most common causes:
1 - What we know of as 'wheat' which has not actually been REAL wheat for many decades;
2 - Sugars, which our bodies cannot handle well and which put any damaging conditions into overdrive;
3 - Junk foods which are loaded with toxicity;
4 - Soft drinks, which are all just bottled up chemical shitstorms;
5 - Cow products, as for most folks they are incredibly difficult to digest with parts that actually cannot digest at all for a great many folks.
Relating with all the above is that most folks (especially here in the US) cannot even remember when they were far more energetic and did NOT feel mildly lousy most of the time as well as the unavoidable weight problems which so many struggle endlessly against.
This all has just become the accepted facets of 'adulthood' - and is also 100% WRONG.
Healing from leaky gut can restore folks to a forgotten energy level as well as leading to weight loss and huge decreases of the inflammations which have become too normal for most folks.
I say that because I've shared this info with friends who have tested this stuff for themselves and also got great results.
The simple formula I used goes like so=>
Start with a 2 week test which can be extended when good results are obtained - and yes, they can be seen and felt that quickly.
Here are my own 2 best BAD examples:
- Favourite snack of a blueberry muffin;
The ONLY mildly good ingredient there are the several tiny blueberries, all else is unhelpful to our bodies and as such this was left behind ~10 years ago;
- Favourite dinner of well buttered pasta.
No other way to say it except how Dr. William Davis says it in 'Wheat Belly'; The perfect, chronic poison.
Also left behind around the same time.
In addition to eliminating the bad stuff listed above, what accelerates the healing is the simple addition of this stuff every single day:

I started using it by dropping a tablespoon of it into a few ounces of water, agitating the glass to mix it up, and just swallowing it down.
It is quite tasteless, cheap and after working up to 3 tablespoons every morning I found that it brings me amazing benefits.
There are other things which can be done, but just trying out the stuff I've listed here is enough to bring visible, obvious health and stamina gains very quickly.
When I was shockingly (for me) overweight - ditching the sugars had me easily loosing ALL the excess weight practically effort-free and very quickly.
Years later, when I tested the wheat-free idea, I lost the other 20+ pounds I'd forgotten about after my 2 week 'test' and thus chose to stay off the wheat from then onward.
Lastly I wish to point out some concerns about the RS content of the BRM product, as mentioned in the comments below the info linked above;
The comments by Megan Nichols and Chris Kresser are the most important to check out.
