I feel it is my obligation to say this: The Deep or Dark web is NOT FOR EVERYONE. And it's hidden "beneath the depths" of regular online use for a good reason.

I've done a little reading about it and it could be scary. Do your own due diligence --- search Google or Duckduckgo for "dark web" or "deep web" to get a better sense of this topic before you go venturing there. If and when you do, be sure you follow the protocols in this (or any) course on using the Dark Web so that you can protect your privacy and remain anonymous. I'll be transparent and tell you I haven't gone there yet and I don't know that I will. But I'm sharing this for those out there who want to.

The dark web --- not unlike the internet, in general or social media, in particular --- can be used towards both noble and nefarious purposes.

For example, someone who cannot get pain relief due to the current opioid crisis will likely find a work-around solution for relief on the Dark Web --- but they are risking their health and their life.

I've read that much darker stuff goes on there, as in selling privacy items like banking details and social security card numbers --- even arranging a "hit" on an enemy or rival's life.

Yeah --- really scary stuff.

So, be sure you brace yourself for what you're going to find. It's no place for the faint-hearted, that's for sure.
