Just wondering how to implement this for multi-location local businesses. Do you build this for each location page (keyword + city) or you simply build it to the home page (brand keyword)? Do I have to create a different set of properties (fb, twitter etc) for each location?

Also, I am planning to implement this on a non-English website. I can easily get English content to set this up; can I change the content later after they are translated? What impact will this have? Or can I just leave the Engish content and use the foreign anchor texts?

This is what I would do if I had a multilocation website. Once my syndication network is ready, I would post to network weekly twice.

Week 1 - I post an article with links to Home page. This goes to trigger of Blogger/Youtube/Dailymotion/Medium. So now you have plenty of interconnected set of links built to Home page.

Now 2nd article will start linking to Location page 1, 3rd article will have links to Location 2 and Home page, 4th Article will link to Location 3 etc.

So every time you are posting to your network, you are building huge set of links to your website and inner location pages ( depending on where you are linking on blogger post)

So in just a 1 month ( assuming you posted weekly twice to your network), You would have built huge set of STACKED ( Tier 1/Tier 2/Tier 3) and INTERLINKED backlinks - All of them deep links.

Foreign anchor text inside English content or Foreign anchor text inside foreign content - please do the reverse engineering of your top 5 competitors on page 1, that will give you ample hints how Google algo is currently placing them. You may have to do little experiment here, and see how Google responds. Since your syndication network is all high authority sites, they respond very quickly.

For the question to me, a website case study would be broadly misleading just like those warriorforum style scams.
