Hi all,

I just received an email from MailChimp that they are running a free promo to register a .com domain free for 5 years.

Of course, they have some rules around this, but for anyone interested in the offer, visit their website. This offer expires on 31 May 2020 and is limited (whatever this means...).

If it works for you, then I am glad I could help!

Leave a rep if you like this! Cheers and stay safe!
Thanks for that.
IMHO Mailchimp is a bit iffy. They're prone to closing accounts for some pretty obscure reasons. But, hey, you can't argue with free...

Fair comment, but as a very basic site with redirect links to a main website it may just help some people. I agree that I probably wouldn't use it as a main site hosting option either, but as you said... if it's free it may just be good to get more exposure and backlinks to the main site.
Did you read the terms of the offer?

You have to keep the root domain updated with new content for five years and if at any time you fail to maintain the upkeep of the website you violate the terms and will have to pay up. If you decide to drop the site all together ownership of the domain automatically goes to Mailchimp.

You can't change the domain nameservers so you're basically joined at the hip for better or worse.

You're better off saving up pennies until you can afford a godaddy .99 cent domain
