That's pretty much what it means...an order placed with an affiliate is sent direct to the manufacturer/distributor, who then sends it directly to the purchaser.

If you set it up right - the buyer will never know that it didn't come from the vendor/website where they bought it.

If you don't - the buyer will be able to find your source (from the shipping label) and unless they only sell in bulk you just lost a client.

Thanks for the information. I'm familiar with drop shipping.. but I guess what I was trying to ask was.. I know that with the plugins for shopify like printful, it's automated so someone buys your shirt and the order goes to them automatically etc. I just wanted to know if when someone buys your product and you're using say a vendor from alibaba that isn't integrated, if you will always have to go in and send the info manually to the Vendor. The reason I wanted to know is because I have a full-time Day job and I'm a single father and have my kid 100% fulltime sole custody.
So if it isn't automated, with an app or plug-in as mentioned before, I'm just wondering if if I just sat down at one particular time of night and did all my orders from the day if that would be okay.. because people may get impatient if they dont' get some kind of shipping details right away. I hope that's not too confusing.
