Thousands of website owners unknowingly leave their money-getting content unprotected (OPEN) on Amazon's S3 servers every year.
That content often shows up in open directories where it's free for all to download. But it also finds its way onto Google and you can find some of it, if you know how to search.
When you know the keywords to use for finding Amazon S3 buckets, Google becomes your new best friend.
Here are just a few keyword combinations to try:
* " site:.s3.amazonaws.com " SEO
* " site:.s3.amazonaws.com " Copywriting
* " site:.s3.amazonaws.com " Internet Marketing
* " site:.s3.amazonaws.com " (whatever keyword you want)
These are only a few examples and, of course, you will need to insert YOUR keyword of choice where I've written (whatever keyword you want).
In Google's results, any links preceded by [PDF] are ready-to-download PDF documents. Just click and download.
But what you're really after is Amazon S3 buckets. And these websites generally start like this:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/
The name of the bucket (where all the goodies are stored) usually comes immediately following the AWS designation. And the AWS designation shown above must be in the 1st or 2nd position in the site name...like this:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/laynas-loot/
or
https://laynas-loot.s3.amazonaws.com/
NOTE: Of course, I'm using my forum name in the examples above and these links aren't mine. Hopefully, these "buckets" don't really exist because I'm only trying to illustrate a point.
Furthermore, if I had a pdf document titled How-to-Sign-Up.pdf that was stored inside my Amazon S3 bucket named laynas-loot, the link to download it would look like either this...
https://s3.amazonaws.com/laynas-loot/How-to-Sign-Up.pdf
or this...
https:/laynas-loot.s3.amazonaws.com/How-to-Sign-Up.pdf

1. Visit an online Amazon S3 Ripper Tool like this:

2. Below, I share 13 Amazon S3 open buckets. All you've got to do is copy and paste the URL address for each one --- one at a time --- into the search field on the online ripper tool app (see image above).
3. Click the SUBMIT button. If the bucket list is still open, you will quickly see a long list of blue links to files that are ready to download.
If the bucket is not identified, then nothing will happen and you will be staring at the same screen you started with. This means that the bucket has been renamed or completely removed to protect its contents. At any rate, you won't be getting any downloads.
How to Get Your Downloads Faster
The fastest way to get all the downloads you want from S3 buckets is to use a download manager. You probably have one you know and love. So stick with it. But if you're in the market for a good file download manager, I suggest Internet Download Manager (IDM).

With browser integration, you can use IDM to load ALL of the links into the IDM console and with a single click you can select ALL of the files to download. It works efficiently and with breakneck speed, too.
Or you can select (tick-mark) individual boxes to choose which files you want, and ignore the others.

Just download and install IDM to your computer. Configure it to work with your browser of choice. You will find instructions at the website.
Once you have browser integration, you can right-click anywhere on the page near the Amazon S3 download links and select DOWNLOAD ALL LINK WITH IDM. That opens an IDM console (see image below) where you will see ALL of the links.
Your options are to select all of them, select individual files, save them where you want them on the computer, name (or select) the folder you're saving to, eliminate all html files so that you can only see files with download extensions, etc.

IDM shows you image files and other extensions. If there is a problem file (ex: damaged, removed, etc.) it shows ERROR, so you can know in advance not to check that file because it is not going to download.
IDM works fast and efficiently in the background (you can minimize the screen) while you go on to do other things. Once you have selected the files you want and they are into IDM, you will need to open the IDM console and manually click multiple files and click RESUME to start the download.
Repeat the process for each of the Bucket List URLs shown below.

Now, here's a Baker's Dozen (13) of what I call Bucket-Lists; Amazon S3 bucket names that, when the link is clicked, brings up a long list of downloadable files.
Use these with the instructions I gave above and you could experience a dizzying deluge of downloads that will keep you occupied for quite some time.
LAYNA'S NOTE: In a few cases, the buckets have been around awhile and some of the content will be unavailable (ex: files removed, corrupted, etc.). Using a good download manager can allow you to see which files are available and which are not to save you the hassle of hit-and-miss downloads.
