Certificates are good for 1 year..what happens after the 1 year? ....Does Google link these badges if used on your website back to a directory of certification holders that visitors can check?

Evey year you have to renew the certificates.
No they don’t provide any link the certificates directory. You have to manually download all the certificates from Google academy.
