2. Are certificates listed on official Google directories in case prospective clients wants to vet the credential for validity?

1. Yes, the certificate is valid for 365 days. You need to renew it every year.

2. No. The certificate can be checked through Google academy online. You can download and check the certificates in front of your client to show you are officially Google Certified.
