Thanks for the share. This is about creating news websites that get submitted for inclusion in the Google News tab. The main advantage of being indexed for Google News is that articles rank very quickly (minutes) and easily for even competitive keywords. They don't stay ranked for long, but the concept is a good one (IMO).
The issue is that "Effortless" is so far off the mark it's not funny. It is pretty difficult to get Google to index your site, and Luther, as usual, has glossed over so much of the necessary detail. This is going to get way harder as well, because of the pressure on Google to police fake news sites.
If you want to get familiar with the idea, this is fine as a kindergarten starter, but don't expect it to be "effortless". It has loads of sloppy errors BTW. eg Google News will auto check your site once submitted within a couple of days - not weeks. If it fails the tests - very likely - you have to wait two months for a chance to resubmit.
FWIW: I've been testing auto translation using the WP Automatic plugin to create unique news content - it works but doesn't produce good enough English to satisfy Google, so you have to manually edit. and you need lots of original current content to have a chance of being indexed.
