Also, if we do get this, is it only good for making videos that are a few minutes in length, or can they be maybe 10 minutes or so if desired ??
This is a cloud based video production tool. I has a number of templates built into it that you can use and customize. The templates are divided into different categories.
If you are familiar with "Levideo" and the Powerpoint templates it has, some of these are similar to that. You can take on of the templates and modify each "slide" so that it looks the way you want it to. Add ore slides or remove some, your choice.
If you are skilled in video production, most likely you would find this limiting.... But if you are either NOT super skilled or need something quick, this can be a handy tool to have access to.
Hope that clarifies it for you.
Cheers,
G.S.

Thanks for replying to my query Gordon !!:
I tried getting into it using the directions you posted as well as the further directions below that, and did not succeed yet.
Still wondering about this:
Is this only for making very short videos, or can they be longer like more than 10 minutes ??
Also - what is the difference between doing what is told about in this thread vs. joining for free, I did not see that info ??

@smithnowt
Just a quick thought: do a quick search for Photodex Pro Show. 8 not 9 (full of viruses) It is quite simple to use - add some photos/video, move them around until they are where you want, set transitions, add music, preview and publish.
Quite easy to use but it also has many features including a Wizard feature that 'takes over' the making of a video. The more I use it, the easier it gets and the more features I find. Hope this helps.

Thanks NoJob !!
Sadly, it looks like ProShow Producer V8 and 9 use a minimum of vista, which I do not have.
Unknown whether V7 will run for me - but V6 definitely runs on XP which is the only version of windows that I still have at all.
Of course the older versions are likely to run OK in Linux via WINE, but their d/l and mirrors here are all gone already.
I'll stay alert for it and maybe find it someplace.

Really? Can ProShow offer the Live Mockups? e.g. drop media into a person using a smartphone?
