Quote: Well, here it is folks. The moment you've been waiting for.

The short story, for those of you who aren't terribly interested in the details, is that the complete recalibration of the new Keyword Competitiveness score that uses Majestic data is now complete (the long version is here for those who're interested).

When we rolled out the Majestic changes, we noticed that the KC scores were a little higher across the board, and we wrote this post detailing new recommended KC targets while we worked on recalibrating KC scores to align more with what everybody was used to.

This recalibration has now been completed, and those of you who've been with us a while and who are used to seeing the chart below can now go back to using that as the guideline for what keywords to target (i.e, KC 30 and under is low competition).

If you're interested in the long version of this story, check out our post about the KC recalibration here. We wrote up a list of all the changes that we made to get to this recalibrated version of Majestic KC.

I'm noticing another problem - keyword search volume is *WAY* off from grabbing data directly from Google's Keyword Planner for me. I was trying out the keyword phrases "foam roller" and "foam rollers" and LTP was showing hundreds of keywords with 10,000+ local searches per month. Then when I ran those same keywords through Google's Keyword Planner, it was only showing about <100 searches per month on them.

I read some articles recently that Google is now restricting Keyword Planner search volume data for AdWords accounts with low spend. My particular AdWords accounts have been around for a few years now, but they are also low spend. I'm curious now if this is a bug with LTP, or if it's a result of the recent supposed changes to AdWords itself, which LTP uses.
This seems to be a problem with LTP itself - as I tried doing new searches for keyword phrases that I already had older campaigns for in it, and again, it's now only returning really vague numbers for Local Searches - either 10,100 or 1,100, or 100. This makes it really difficult to even trust the KC scores as a result.
Thanks alot for the share but I only get numbers in the "KC" and "Site Age" columns with final kc scores of say 3 or 4 or 5, all below 10.

Does someone have the same problem with KC tool and how to fix?

Thanks.
OP Thanks for your crack...
