Many don't know this but Napoleon Hill died broke and in debt. A much better book is Covey's 7 Habits of Highly Effective People.

That's true.

I knew this and believe it was just his destiny. His role in life I believe was to deliver the message to the world.

It's relly no different to "Financial Advisors and Wealth Managers" who are one paycheck away from bankruptcy when you think about it.

It doesn't matter he died broke or wealthy. What matters is the essence of the book. If you think it that way, it's like judging every religion in existence. One can hop from religion-to-religion without contentment and happiness, but taking the essence of the teachings which is all about love and compassion, one can live a fulfilled life.

Just like Napoleon Hill's philosophy, we should take its essence and regardless of what the man achieved, the essence is omnipresent and work for everyone. All we need to do is apply it. Reading a thousand books and knowing exactly what those books taught is not enough. It's the application that matters.

We can connect this our modern "IM industry". People are rushing to get hold of the next shining methods. However, buying, reaping, and simply reading these courses without application, the end results are ZERO. Napoleon Hill teaches about mindset as the right mindset can set the stage. If you notice on his list of principles, making money is not the priority and #1 in the list.

Although the method seems to be easy, they're difficult to apply and maintain initially. Many people (including myself) are good at starting it, but struggle to persist. But if persisting and allocating strict time devoted to doing the development of process mindset is crucial.

Stephen Covey is another trusted figure in self-development. I'm not saying one is better than the other, but if you apply and feel both of their teachings, you may find many overlaps.
