So to fix the database error, I downloaded an old copy from here
and used the database file from it.
After starting it lets you update the database file. Don't update the program.

But after all that there is still no platforms listed.
There is however the link shortener list which wasn't there before.

So we still need the platform list.

Apparently whoever cracked this stopped it from contacting the update server where the platform lists are downloaded from. This makes the software virtually useless.
