Are you able to filter out the expired domains and search only domains that are wp/blogs/joomla/ecommerce and etc?

Does the software itself have a feature of 1 click bulk register?
By using the domain ressurection for example I target a wordpress site will it get the plugins and all of its pages and posts or just the main page?

Thanks for your interest in DDominator.
Yes, you can target any specific websites to crawl using footprints. 1-click bulk register domains feature is not yet available with DD. FYI, domain resurrection uses archive.org to download all HTML, JS and CSS files not only the main page however WP plugins cannot be downloaded as archive.org doesn't store server side data of any domain.

Feel free to ask any question related to DDominator.

As to the comparison with ddominator vs scrapebox premium expired domain plugin, at $47 one time payment...let me say this about the scrapebox plugin after using it for two days.

I was able to run it overnight, and it gathered 2065 expired domains in approx 10 hours of use.

I was using the wikipedia.org site as the seed url.

I was able to run at 20 threads overnight, but I have reduced that to 18 threads now that I had it freeze up at higher thread counts.

Version 1.0.10 of the plugin does support Majestic and Moz api metrics. The Moz metric is free, but it's slow [that's why it's free]. However, even at the slow api call rate, it seems to be sufficient for these purposes.

You have the option to buy the premium api's for Moz and Majestic, then that'll be expensive, as they're not cheap. I am running the free Moz version which is built into the plugin, as I found that it is OK for most of my purposes. I have not bought the Majestic api, as that is costly.

If you absolutely want the fastest Moz api calls, without paying for the premium version, then scrapebox does allow you to set up 50 or so proxy linked "free versions" of the Moz account which can rotate through each proxy free version to substantially increase the speed of the Moz free api calls. You can duplicate some, but not all, of the speed and api calls of the premium version of the Moz account.

I frankly didn't find it necessary to go to all of this effort to set up additional free moz accounts, as I am only using 10 paid proxies. The single free version of the Moz account seems sufficient to me...slow, but not to slow as to slow down the overall performance of the found expired domains as they pop up about one or two per minute.

I found a better way to get all of the Majestic stats without buying any premium api plugins. So far this trick is working well, getting me bulk TF and CT, anchor text, CT link power.

Its a paid program that has a little known feature to allow Majestic stats to be added in bulk...it's a bit slimmed down version of the metrics, but still very usable for large scale bulk checking.

Fortunately for ddominator, all of these "premium majestic costly api" features are already built into the software, so that is a big plus for ddominator. PS: I think ddominator is using the premium majestic api, but still using the "free" Moz api calls.

As to scrapebox, you have to get creative to find good ways to check the metrics of hundreds of expired domains...the best and cheapest way is to let scrapebox's built in metrics do the work, or you can "turn off metrics" and get the metrics elsewhere, which is what I am doing with the third party software do all of the hard working in getting bulk metrics.

However, the third party software isn't free [well, it is free for me, as I found an ingenious method to bypass their authentication...been using it for free for about 2 years now], as the software is on the pricey end of the spectrum, so, overall, let scrapebox do it for free. PS: I just prefer the majestic metrics and anchor text info by using the third party software over the free scrapebox built-in metrics method.

Anyway, here is the final conclusion as to which software is the most powerful, and which is the better value.

Scrapebox is the clear winner when it comes to cost, as their one-time payment of $47 is a no brainer compared to ddominators $47 monthly fee for 5000 found scrapes per month [remember, you can go through 2000 {i.e. points} found domains in a single night, so can eat up your monthly allotment of domains in the first week of using ddominator, and be forced to buy additional "credit" to continue your scraping - again, more money paid out during the month for ddominator]

On the other hand, scrapebox is truly a one-time fee of $47, with unlimited usage for life on a single machine. Can't beat that deal.

However, an advantage of ddominator is that they do have built in majestic metrics and moz "free" metrics at no additional cost. That is a big plus. Does it justify the monthly subscription fee $47 and limited monthly 5000 scraped domains, well, that is a individual decision, but I still think scrapebox is the clear winner here.

As to performance....both softwares do essentially the same thing, they scrape URL's of leading high priority domain pages [for instance wikipedia.org] URL for links and lower levels that can lead to expired domains that link to the upper level seed url.

Sort of a hierarchy of upper level seed URLs that link to lower level URL's that contain expired domains, and so on down the level count until it zero's out of levels to check for expired domains.

Scrapebox is the leading software in the industry when it comes to scraping of URLs, as that is exactly what the original scrapebox did some 7 years ago when it first started up.

So, if anybody can get it right when it comes to scraping of URL's, then certainly scrapebox must be that champion.

However, ddominator does this job, and it does it well. It has all of the majestic metrics in place without the need to use any third party software to sort out the metrics. That is very convenient. Many users may want this type of convenience.

I for one, like the one time fee of scrapebox. I can live with the Moz free metrics that are built into scrapebox. Their are 5 other metrics that are built into scrapebox that can be turned on for free. I don't use any of those.

I prefer using my third party software to get those metrics from majestic without paying for the expensive premium majestic api calls.

One great feature of scrapebox is that it allows you to turn off scraping for all of those 20 or so TLD domains that just can't be registered using godaddy. If it isn't one of the regular TLD domains, such as com, net, org, or info and so, I don't want it scraped and using up my bandwidth and metrics. Since godaddy is running a special promo for .99 cent com domains, I am only using com domains to register. This really improves the performance of the plugin, as it's ignoring everything else.

The end....thanks ddominator for allowing me to evaluate your software for the benefit of all BBHF forum readers.

I found that with scrapebox's expired domain finder, even with one seed url filtered for .com only on a 16gb unmetered machine with 400 private proxies I would have to wait a week to get anything. Actually I never got anything back since I would give up on the harvesting.

I did set crawl level to 25 which didn't help at all. This was my experience with scrapebox. Anyone get different results?

Now majestic has updated their index which makes it necessary to pick up ddominator to see tf/cf since gsa url metric scanner not working with majestic.
