I disagree. There is far too much empirical evidence that these techniques do in fact work and work well. Perhaps I am of the "don't knock it till you've tried it" school, but I believe this stuff can, and does work. Not for everyone, but it does work.

Sadly, I have to agree. And I would even go one further- It also strongly depends on firm and complete beliefs, in order to convince the brain (mind) for any technique to work.
Brain isn't a superstar, he's one of many you'll find on the self help circuit. BUT I'm still interested in watching him move into IM of himself. (If you'll notice his Youtube vids are 6-8 years old). Not as amusing as watching Microsoft trying to get into the phone game
