Fixed the 403 error. The error was because the Youtube API was not enabled. Once that was enabled all worked well.

So, basically, you were flapping about nothing at all.. except the fact that you forgot to add your YouTube API Key. Fancy posting about your own stupidity.. sheesh..!!
